 The Velveteen Rabbit Bookshop is an independent general book store that has an emphasis on children's literature. We have something for everyone, but we also welcome special orders, even for a variety of DVDs and CDs. The Velveteen Rabbit Bookshop began operation in 1994 in a quaint, pink Victorian home in downtown Fort Atkinson. We have been honored to serve our loyal customers in the greater Fort Atkinson Area and its surrounding communities. Come and browse our quality selection of regional literature, books for children, unique cards, audio books, journals, puzzles, toys, DVDs, CDs, stickers and other specialty items.

The Guest House is a more recent addition. Since summer 2007, The Guest House has been a cozy retreat for out-of-towners and locals alike. Click the "Guest House" link on the side of the page for more information!

Nice Shop

I must visit your bookstore to search some books that will be reference to my sketching work. I am an illustrator for children's book. Maybe I can get some fresh ideas through your books.
